Outdoor play is a part of everyday life at Bloom - rain or shine!  We believe fresh air and exploration fuel learning and imagination. So Children go outside at least twice a day, weather permitting.  With proper gear, we even embrace puddle-jumping and snowy adventures!

What are the qualifications of your teachers?

Our teachers are passionate early childhood professionals who bring a warm nurturing spirit into every classroom.  Many hold degrees or certifications in Early Childhood Education, and all receive regular training on best practices, educational philosophy, health and safety & more!

How do you handle a child’s injury?

Safety is our top priority.  If a child has an injury, even a minor one, our teaching team immediately provides care and comfort.  Families are always notified the same day with an incident report, and we believe in open, transparent communication about anything that happens.

Do you really go outside in all weather?

Yes! And the children LOVE IT! Learning doesn’t stop with the seasons. With proper gear like rain boots, snowsuits, and sun hats children experience  the magic of nature year-round. It’s a big part of building resilience, wonder and joyful learning through play!

Absolutely! We partner closely with families during potty training. Our approach is gentle, supportive and child-led, ensuring each child feels confident and successful. We’ll work together to keep routines consistent between home and school.

Where do children nap once they are over 12 months old?

Children over 12 months old nap on cozy, child-sized cots in a calm, peaceful environment. Rest is an important part of growth and development and we make sure nap time feels safe, comforting, and part of their daily routine.

Will I get updates throughout the day about my child?

Yes! Communication is a cornerstone of Bloom.  Through daily notes, classroom updates, and quick check-ins at pick-up and drop-off, you stay connected to your child’s experiences, milestones, and magical moments of learning.

What do parents need to supply for their child?

We ask families to send a few essentials to help their child feel safe and at home. ~ Spare clothes, blanket for nap, diapers and wipes (if needed). Daily food (breakfast, lunch, snacks). Mud suit / rain gear and rain boots for outdoor play. We’ll provide the loving environment and playful learning.

Are teachers certified in First Aid & CPR?

Yes! All Bloom teachers maintain current certifications in First Aid and CPR. Safety is woven into everything we do - so you can trust that your child is in caring, capable hands.

Do you follow the public school calendar for closings?

Accepted Answer

We do generally follow the public school calendar for major holidays and breaks, but because our Bloom campuses serve several districts, our calendar doesn’t align 100% with any single one.  Instead, we create one unified Bloom calendar to keep all families and campuses consistent. You’ll always have plenty of notice for any closings!
